  • A defined calm-down or regulation corner with clear expectations

Instructional materials

  • Every core text available in accessible formats (audio, digital, large print)

  • Handouts in a minimum 12-point sans-serif with strong contrast

  • Visual schedules, word walls, and anchor charts at readable height

  • Multiple means of demonstrating mastery built into unit plans (UDL)

Digital accessibility

  • Captions enabled on all video content

  • Documents tagged and screen-reader tested (no image-only PDFs)

  • Text-to-speech and dictation enabled on student devices

  • Alt text on images in slide decks and the class site

  • Learning platforms verified against WCAG guidance

Practice & documentation

  • Every teacher has current IEP and 504 accommodations for their roster

  • Accommodations logged and reviewed at least quarterly

  • Paraprofessional roles and schedules posted

  • Staff trained on the assistive technology actually present in the room
